Knowing Coffee, its the way to love it

All coffee lovers have a personal and perfect guide of how they like to drink it, with the styles, the bean, the smell, the sugar, even the favorite place and coffee brand. Even for some people coffee becomes an important habit, I grew up in a family where every afternoon at 4 pm there was a cup of coffee waiting for you in the living room. But even if you just like to drink it regularly there’s other details that you should have in consideration, like those brands that help the environment and those that don't, or the properties and important information about coffee and the ways to drink it. Because if we want to be better as human beings, we must be responsible consumers.

My personal guide is quite simple, I use a coffee maker, so I use ground coffee, my favorite bean is the Robusta, even though I don’t drink it frequently I love it because of its strong taste. I like to make my coffee strong enough to wake me up and when I go out, I like to ask for an americano or French latte, depending on the mood. Always trying to not use sugar, because refined sugar not only can be unhealthy, it can take away some coffee properties too.  Also keeping an eye on the brands that have important stamps, like the Rainforest Alliance - an international non-profit organization working to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable methods - because it is known that coffee is part of deforestation of forests for cultivation. It is great to have (or try to have) a balance between what we like and what its good for us and our environment.

Even though I know it’s pretty difficult to quit sugar, I hope that now you will start to consider some details that will make your delicious personal coffee guide, better and healthier.
